With our mission to “Strive for perfection and serve the scientific research, to realize the localization of biological reagent & promote the development of life science”, TransGen provided instruction courses to our distributors. We aimed to help our clients and distributors with promoting the development of life sciences. In September, we have conducted two webinars with our distributors from Malaysia, Vietnam and Singapore. Nanogene Solutions focusing on the topic of qPCR and cell culture.

Background:

The Webinar is given by the CMO of TransGen Biotech, Dr Zhao Zhendong, who graduated from the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is highly experienced in cell biology and molecular virology research with 2 national invention patents and 7 SCI articles published.

Webinar: A Look Into: Quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction (qPCR) & Cell Culture

Introduction:

The first part of the webinar with the topic titled “The basics of Quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction (qPCR) and how to work them” was conducted on September 23rd, 2021, aiming to help researchers to get a general idea of the current qPCR technology in addition to the basic knowledge in qPCR as well as tips & tricks in solving qPCR related problems. The webinar covered the entire workflow of qPCR from start to end, which included RNA extraction, reverse transcription, qPCR, data analysis, and the application of qRT-PCR in modern molecular research. Many questions were raised during the Q&A session by audiences as they hoped to solve the problems at hand.

The second part of the webinar with the topic of “Cell Culture: The basic essentials you need to know” was conducted on September 30th, 2021. Dr Zhao shared the basics in cell biology experiments, including the culture of a variety of cells (including stem cells), culture contamination issues, such as mycoplasma contamination detection, cell status detection, transfection, etc. The audience showed great enthusiasm, asking more than 20 different questions in the Q&A session. This webinar helped the audience a lot with their experiments and the problems that arise during their research.

Summary:

This webinar had broken the distributor’s record, with more than 133 participants. The high enthusiasm and eagerness from the audience to participate in the Q&A have proven it a fruitful and informative webinar.

The feedbacks collected from the webinar is positive, which showed 80% of the audience were satisfied with the overall experience of the webinar and agreed that the webinar was informative and had learned new things from the webinar.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we transferred the regular seminar to an online webinar. That is the first webinar open to scientists, which received positive feedback and acknowledgement. We will continue improving the webinar experience to provide the audience with a better service. TransGen will continue to hold various webinars in the future. Everyone is welcome to participate. You can leave messages on topics you are interested in through the official website, e-mail, etc.. Look forward to seeing you in the next webinar.
